A great event for families in the school. Every grade sets up an activity booth (decorated and staffed by parent volunteers from the grade) for the children to enjoy. There is music, an inflatable, harvest themed events, and fun for the family. Usually lasts from 9-12 (set up/take down from 7-1). Families are charged a nominal fee to attend. Class coordinators always need assistance manning the booths.
Parent volunteers needed to work the fair. Volunteers will man the fair, assist with sales, and help to set up by reading level.
Students and their families are invited to dress in costumes, decorate the trunk of their cars, and trunk or treat around the parking lot. Activities and fun can be expected. Volunteers are needed for parking lot set up, activities, and contest participation. Usually runs an hour and a half.
This is an HSA sponsored event where a Thanksgiving Luncheon will be catered for the students and faculty in our school gymnasium. Parent volunteers are needed to help serve the food, assist younger students, and enjoy some delicious food themselves. This is a great way to start the holiday season.
During school hours the children have a chance to shop at the SGBS Santa Shop for loved ones on their Christmas list. Volunteers are needed during the week to help set up the shop, assist the students with their choices and budgeting, and enter sales at the register.
Families are invited to attend for a small fee. Breakfast is served, Santa arrives, gifts for the kids, crafts, raffles, and a very fun, social time is had by all. Volunteers are needed for set up, gift wrapping, table placement, craft stations, food replenishment, photo station, raffle sales, check in and clean up. Runs from 9-12 with early arrival and night before for certain areas. A ton of different committees for this event~ all hands needed!
This is a special night for the girls in the school to enjoy. Girls dress in their fanciest dress and enjoy dancing, photos, raffles, and a feast with their special guy. Volunteers are needed to set up during the day, check in the guests, assist with the food serving, sell the raffles, and clean up. Runs 7-10 with early and late needs for set up and take down.
Our 8th grade students get dressed up and parade down a runway at Patriot Hills Golf Course. Parents and guests are invited to attend a cocktail hour with raffles and prizes to bid on, followed by a sit down dinner and dessert. Volunteers are needed for solicitation of raffle prizes throughout the community, packaging and set up of raffles, ticket sales, table arrangements, centerpieces, and help with organizing the 8th graders.
The event runs from 7-11 but assistance is needed from November till the night of with different areas of the event. OUR BIGGEST FUNDRAISER here at the school, and a night to not be missed!
An adult evening of fun! Irish music, food, and drink are served. Volunteers are needed to help setup and take down the event the day of. Mother Son Bowling A fun day for the moms and sons of SGBS to enjoy each other’s company and have fun at Hi-Tor Lanes. Volunteers are needed to work at the the check-in table, hand out favors and prizes, and replenish snacks (A great volunteer job for the dads so the moms can have fun!) Additionally, volunteers are asked to bring in a baked good for the dessert trays. Donations of unused toys are accepted for the raffle table.
The last family event of our very fun school year! Students and families come out to enjoy a BBQ feast with music, and games and enjoyment for all. Volunteers needed to set up, man the food stations, and clean up afterwards. Runs during school hours.
The SGB Consignment shop sells gently used uniforms which are donated by families who have no further use for them. We open the shop for most school based functions such as HSA meetings and general assemblies. Donations come in throughout the school year and during Summer months. Volunteers are needed to help organize donated items and to run the shop during open hours. 1st Day School Supply 1st Day School Supply kits save parents the trouble of shopping for school supplies, and gives our students the exact supplies our teachers want for them. Volunteers are needed in August to receive the order at SGBS and organize the boxes by grade. Additionally volunteers are needed to distribute the supplies to parents before school starts.
The kids begin practice and auditioning for the show during school a week in advance. Volunteers are needed to help with arranging the show, assisting the students with their acts before, and during the show.
